Hockeytown – Lets Go Red Wings

Lets Go Red Wings

Lets Go Red Wings

Lets Go Red Wings

Lets Go Red Wings

Back in the 50’s it all came around,

The Red Wings were lead by

Lindsay, Abel and Howe

The Production Line with Sawchuck

Was cranking it down,

Setting the tradition

Here in Hockeytown.

Chorus

Calling us the “Dead Wings”

Tried to bring us down.

Until Bingo Bango

Wiped away the frown.

Over to the Joe for a new go around.

Restore the faith

Here in Hockeytown

Chorus

Bringing back the glory

It was Stevie Y,

With the assistance of

The Russian Five.

Over in Chicago they tried

To hold us down,

Tally 3 more cups,

Here in Hockeytown.

Solo Chorus

Solo Verse

Lidstrom, Datsyuk,

Zetterberg and the Mule.

Take the NHL back to school.

Hoist the Cup, Carry it around,

One more time,

Here in Hockeytown.

Chorus

A young boy is skating

And he carries the dream.

All the scouts say he’s

The best they’ve seen.

He will be the next

To wear the crown.

As he lights em up,

Here in Hockeytown.
