Album Notes
Drawing on the rich tapestry of influences from his musical world, Pavel Jany has brought the splendidly sophisticated album, Songs, into reality as Ticket To Brasil*s third album.
Through experimentation and creative revision, Pavel has arranged a collection of updated favorites as well as some spicy, new material culminating in a body of captivating and alluring sounds. Songs offers audiences five original compositions and seven renditions of works by renowned Brazilian artists, adding depth and complexity through transfixing rhythms, impeccable phrasing and sublime harmony. To this end, the already significant talents of the Ticket To Brasil band members has been joined by an impressive collection of prolific and prodigiously-gifted contributors from Brazil, France and the United States. The high caliber of musical mastery and commitment from these artists creates, unquestionably, one of the most unique, complex, and original banquets of Bossa Nova, Samba and Brazilian jazz. Enjoy!
