ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tiger and the Snow is a yearling project that began as collaboration between founding members Todd Milton and Portland native Angie Sabin. With Milton’s shoe-gazey Stratocaster lead and Sabin’s breathy vocals, Fender Rhodes and occasional guitar, they created a unique sound. The powerful addition of Wes Garcia on bass or baritone and Kyle Kelly-Yahner (aka “Young Buck for his 10 yr age difference) on drums rounds out the rhythm section. Garcia also plays with the band Len Bias and occasionally with Carol Bui.
The group has been compared to bands the likes of My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, Cat Power and Built to Spill.

Tiger and the Snow has shared the stage with many local favorites such as Greenland and Metropolitan as well as up and coming touring acts Wakey!Wakey! and Bear in Heaven, both from New York.
