ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Circles makes you want to get into the car, put the top down, turn the tunes UP....and just drive...in the desert....Forever, toward the sunrise." Stephen Watts..

Listening to Tim stretch out on "Sea Thirteen" is just one of the great tracks his new CD "Circles" has to offer. From Jazz, Blues, R&B to the standards, "Circles" illustrates the accomplished versatility of Tim Bowman. As a composer, musician, and producer, Tim's long career has honed a talent and style that is distinct and infectious. With his roots in Jazz, Blues and acoustic and his sophisticated finger styling, Tim's sound provokes a vibe of times and places we have all been. Although tasteful on keyboards, bass, and drums, his guitar work is what seats him with the masters. While jammin with Robben Ford, Tim's desire to master the strings with that same intricacy and finesse and feel has never left him. Composing and playing either on acoustic or electric, Tim's intricate attention to the "details of the groove" is his innate gift. After several Billboard nods, and years in the trenches of performing and touring on both coasts, Tim's studio is his haven. Writing, producing, and engineering his and others material ultimately brings all his talents together. Tim,(TimBo,Tbo) Bowman brings a unique and fresh sound that inspires all music lovers to do what we do best....listen.. over and over and over again!

"Double Olive"
If ever there were a musical cocktail, this one would sure get ordered often by folks who were in need of a chill. This is so intoxicatingly seductive. I love how it just swirls about you, like the exotic perfume from the sophisticated doll two chairs down from you at the bar. Things heat up at 1:50 as she offers a coy smile...then were back at 2:05...just flowing and enjoying life. This song has some melodic stretches that speak to me of acceptance...life is what it is..no more, no less. The groove, guitar tone, and the non-verbal lyrics are a story that we all need to hear and remember. It's a sensual lullabye....and suddenly the bartender slides a fresh martini in front of you and says, 'It's on the lady...and
she said "one olive looked lonely""....ahh where this tune has taken me... PineCAts

"She Said It Didn't Matter"
What a lovely way to start a saturday morning...smooth jazz at it's finest. This is world class man...this is beautiful. Love the guitar work, so tasty and soulful, the tone is impeccable and phrasing is sweet. The istrumentation and production is crystal clear and perfect. This is as good as good can get...5 star smoothness. Valkir

"All Day All Night"
Fluff it up, kick back, and savor this wonderful tune. Man what fine guitar playing layered in over a great jazzy groove..Shades of Pat Metheny wash over the compositon...then some nice piano work, minimalist in nature (which i love) takes a turn before the sweet dreams guitar come bouncing happily back into the tune. Well composed, recorded, and excellently played. Charlie

"Stirred Not Shaken"
This one melts in your mouth like expensive choclate...just sweet enough and very very satisfying. Oh, what a mellow groove...there's just enough push that it really accentuates your superb guitar stylings. I am so
impressed with your ability to present crystal clarity in your mixes without comprimising the soul and emotion your playing embraces...(what I said...) (what I mean...)Dude, I'd walk on hot coals to get to your next track!!! Kerry Bonzai

"Chill"
Wonderful song here Tim...i love the space, the tender tones of a sensitively played acoustic guitar, and the way you phrase the lines. Blues inflections on a country road. With sincere colors and texture throughout, you deliver this song with kneeling honesty and pilgrim faced
openness. Beautiful stained glass musical prayer. Leslie Heiner

"She Said It Didn't Matter"
Wow, I absolutely love the bright mix and room of this fine, shining arrangement. chords like sun rays... an uplifiting song. All the guitar work is great, wonderfully assisted by soft orchestration. like stormy summer clouds... watched by couples, who forgot anything else
around them. Great style, beautiful song!!!!! Cheers,Pascal

"Circles"
Beautiful playing allthrough out, with so much heart in the execution. That's what I think really makes a song desirable, and it's that honesty in the music that makes it as successful as you'd like it to be. This is fantastic writing here, great playing, and a brilliant production.
Was a pleasure to listen to this. Daniel Lombardi

"Circles"
Your music is always such a pleasure to listen to! Music to my ears (if they could smile they would be)! Gorgeous guitar along with such melodic strings and drums. I want to be in THIS circle! Aysha

"Sea Thirteen" is a track worthy, and I mean truly worthy of airplay on any jazz station. This is some serious late night, relax journey jazz. The production is astounding, as is the quality of musicianship.
TimBo, you have caught my ear indeed. Anthony Marcus

"Chill"
Clear blue skies of summer....
Very smooth,mellow and relaxed.
Gotta say first off,that I L O V E the VIBE!!
Superb musicianship,and crystal clear production.
The gentle inter weaving of the instruments with the warm guitar is excellent. a slice of perfection.
Most enjoyable,endless summer.
What strokes me most is how ultra polished each instrument is played.Excellent work. Nigel.

"Chill"
This song seems to have it all...i love how it starts...the listener has no clue where it will "gel"...when it finds it's groove, you can just sit back and let the beautifully played guitar float you away over silk smooth acoustic percussion that literally dances with the guitar. The background synths, the lovely piano, and the absolute killer minimalist bass all swirl together like some intoxicating incense that just wraps around you
and man, you CHILL! Fantastic piece of music here that is perfectly recorded, mixed, and performed. There are so many, "other things" going on in here as well that
the listener can enjoy, but only if he wants to...like looking out a rainsoaked window, or just at the cat on the couch. This song makes no demands on the listener at all. 4 stars here. WoW. Tamara Cliff

"Sea Thirteen"
Exceptionally clear and crisp! The production on this is amazing. Your guitar is utterly perfect in this.
Do you have a cd to buy?
I'm really loving your style! Just beautiful! Love your guitar playing! This is so smooth and enjoyable to listen to. So, so professional is every way!
You must already be on the radio because this is better than a lot of what I hear today. Can't wait to hear the next one! Alby Dronitch.

"Sea Thirteen"
I love music like this..music that touches the heart and moves you...artists like you have a special gift. Please keep creating. Valkir

"Double Olive"
You were like the second artist I listened to upon my arrival to the internet and I was blown away by your "over and Over" tune. Since then I've had the opportunity to hear many more amazing talents, but I just seem to gravitate back to you and your wonderful guitar...This tune is no
exception! Your style and tones are so very relaxing and your talent unmatched. Your tunes transport the listener away from their daily problems into a special space far from harm. The groove on this tune penetrates and permeates, while the guitar soothes and strokes...this is a
hell of a lot cheaper than therapy and way more enjoyable !! Thanks for the ride Tim!!! Kerry.

"Stirred Not Shaken"
wow the guitar work here is just fanatastic. Great lowride cruise feel on this. the trumpet is wunderbar. nice touch. This track is truley awesome! I thought I was listening to Pat Metheny. perfect mix/production. Dreamer

"All Day All Night"
Just delicious.
Cafe-lift music should be a genre in it's own right and this piece might just make you miss your floor in the lift or hang around for that extra coffee in the cafe. Sounds a little cynical? No! This type of music has it's place and this example is certainly one of the goodies.
Production and balance is superb creating a truly warm and mouth-watering dish. Ten out of ten on the engineering side. The guitar, piano and drumming is tummy-tingling tight and had me squirming with delight. These guys can really feel it, work it and stick it.My complements to the chef on this one anyway! Paul Raj

"All Day All Night"
Play It Again, and again...
From the first beautiful guitar notes and ensuing good time funky groove going on in the bass and drums, this tune says "get ready for some fun!". It's Benson-esque for sure but not a clone by any means. The groove cooks right along until a dynamic breakdown ushers in a nice single note piano solo which kind of airs things out. The guitar returns with some octave doubled jamming and it's on into the fade. The guitar here sounds big, warm and smooth. Everything is dovetailed nicely so there's really a great "make you wanna move" thing going on.There's a kind of hip hop undercurrent. Classy production, good melody, and great playing are the winning combination here. Play it again! Mathew G.

"what?"
This is fantabuloso. You got my head moving, feet tapping and a big smile on my face! Incredible recording. Reminds me of Birelli Lagrene.
Everything seems to fit just perfectly. Wendy Z.

"Stirred Not Shaken"
This feels/sounds so good it makes my heart ache.
You make beautiful beautiful sounding music.
Yes Yes Yes. PB

"All Day All Night"
Oh man this is good.
Sat back with my feet up and just let this play.
SUPERB musicianship.
EXCELLENT production, and clearly done by a VERY talented song writer.
Has a beautiful light atmosphere to it.
The clean guitar solos are simply sparkling.
Everything is place perfectly and performed flawlessly.
Loved the piano solo :)
Excellent work. Nigel

"Sea 13"
What dreams are made of here...gotta love those cool octaves...then a dash of light blue Robben Ford...neat timing changes and a big fat soft bass to round the sound. Scales i'll never know the joy of allow the listener to
wander up and down the stairs through tranquilizing keyboards and end up adrift in the Sea of Thirteen...This song has everything i love...except a download button...lol...Great job Tim.. Digiman

"All Day All Night"
Nice little swirly intro smoves into a fat r/b jazz groove that would take the edge off Osama...
Absolutely most excellent licks, lush production that works, a rarity! One of the finest pieces I have ever heard on the internet, consumate professionals, intelligent groove, varied riffs, great guitar sound, hot
licks, mellow with smarts!!!! gnosticguy

"Circles"
Where's the CD?
Great players who really understand giving music room to breath. Very impressive and thoughtful work!
I think the musical performances and composition are beyond professional. Also, the mixing and engineering of the tracks is spot on. Where's the CD? Joe King

"All Day All Night"
Now this is what I'm talking about. Great hook in the melody. You can hear alot of thought, passion and attention to precise detail went into the tracking and production of this song. Excellent playing here, and could be
compared to Peter White or Earl Klugh, but with enough originality to stamp your induction into the world of Smooth Jazz. There are quite a few artists I have heard recently, with wonderful songs and alot of tallent,
but I have to be a bit bias here and just let you know, this song I have been listening to, is simply one of the best I've heard yet. Very well done, I applaude you. Shop this one as a single now...make your mark.
D. Lombardi

"Sea 13"
exquizit is a great word for what i am hearing..classy stuff and i love those octaves.. I love the wes stuff in you do..fantastic sounding..drums sound incredible and bassman is walking the neighbors dog too!!!damn thats
nice..what can i say but 8x cool!! markc

"She Said It Didn't Matter"
Impeccable. That is the reaction that I always get when listening to your music. It is always so well done, and full of atmosphere. The guitar sounds wonderful, a perfect jazz tone to supplement the wonderous electronic/organic soundscape..then what do we have here..a distorted tone
shines through at the breakdown in the middle..an unexpected and brilliant change! Women can have a profound effect on a man, can't they?? This is a fantastic piece, many different elements combined together effortlessly
into an exquisitely listenable track. I'm always looking for visceral content in songs, and this one has it. Excellent. Larry Barber

"Sea 13"
I love the electric guitar tone in this song. I am a big fan of Smooth Jazz and I really like this smooth groove that you have created with this song. This music is fun to play and fun to listen to...can't go wrong, man. There is a lot of mediocre music out there, but you definitely have a
genuine vibe and you know how to do your thing. Everything flows together and grooves nicely. The chord structures are lush and the structure of the song is solid. Great job! Minerva

"All Day All Night"
I`m known for being a non lover of Jazz. I don`t know why I decided to listen to this piece of yours...I`m so very glad I did..It`s wonderful, more than that....So laid back n silky smooth..Mellow...Just sorry I can`t download it..There, I said it... If this is jazz, then I love Jazz...:-) Margot

"Sea 13"
Very sultry. I'm so chillin' from the first chord.
Excellent arranging, and that guitar has a wonderful voice. I'm already like putty in your hand.
So together, and mature. So cool and warm...
Crystalyine

"Chill"
The soundscape created here is very relaxing and appealing. If dark and gloomy is what you like, this tune is not for you. The serenity, relaxation and mindtravelling is done in broad daylight. and its very sunny! An awesome mix with great transitions, pads, sound fx... everything shines! Babis

"Chill"
ok i got lost in this tune. drifted me away. the piano and chord progressions is just outstanding this is tastefully and gracefully done.goes down like a fine glass of champagne. RamBurg

"She said It Didn't Matter"
love the mood. Very relaxing intro.
My opion i think fusion jazz is the most beutiful types of music ever discovered. and this artist conquored this type of music very well. Great job. The guitars remind me of Acoustic Achemey. Very talented guitar player..The effects makes the song very soothing... I love the mood alot.

Music of this quality will never go out of style...
In the vast sea of major label artists and the seemingly endless new Indie offerings, I was just plain lucky to come across this little jewel. Mr Bowman has put together 13 of the tastiest smooth jazz tunes you will find out there. If you ever enjoyed Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, George Benson, or Robben Ford, you will LOVE this CD. As if his guitar mastery were not enough, Mr. Bowmnan also gets the credits for ALL the other instrumentation as well. The recording quality and production are as good as you will find anywhere. Ordering this CD is not spending money...it's investing it. This is a 5 Star collection of great smooth jazz that has a timeless quality and restores my faith in Indie artisits.

Pleasantly Surprised
I don't usually listen to this smooth jazz kind of stuff much. But, this CD really caught my ear. Listening to the clips I could tell these are actually songs!!! Wow. Not that jazzy flip flop stuff. I took a shot and bought it. Really a cool comfortable vibe. I really enjoy this CD. Hasn't left my player in a week. Congrats and thanks, T Grealy

Solid
I hate the term "smooth jazz." All jazz should be smooth, cool. 'Circles' brings the smooth, the cool, front and center with a solid musicianship, style and finesse. This is the CD I play when I want to release tension, energize my soul, just feel good about life. The sweet sounds of strings well played with rhythms that uplift is just what he doctor ordered. Bowman's style, craftmanship, and attention to the details make this a superb jazz album that will remain a solid pick in your collection for years to come.

What A Great CD!
When I ordered "Circles", I was anxious to get it as I love the songs that are on it. When I got it, I immediately put it in my car and went for a drive. It was even better than I had remembered! It's so good that it's still in my cd player in the car as I write this review (and I've had it for a few weeks now). This is a highly recommended buy! Just incredible! I can't wait for the next one!
