ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The "Back Fields" are in fact, the fields and woods right outside my back door. Matters of the heart, stories of fascinating characters that have crossed my path, and the deep questions about the state of today's world have all come to me as I walk those fields.
A Folk-Americana recording that ranges from the very spare to blues and bluegrass and beyond. With special guests, THE KOSSOY SISTERS, SPECIAL CONSENSUS, JASON WILBER (of the John Prine Band), Indiana's fine bluesman- Gordon Bonham, and many others.
#1 Album on Folk Radio Nov. '05 & Jan. '06
#1 Song on Folk Radio ("The People's Highway") Nov. '05

Named "BEST AMERICANA ALBUM" in the 2006 Just Plain Folks Music Awards (Los Angeles, 11-06).

Back in college I was impressed with Tim's integrity as an artist
A very pleasing listen: makes me want to hear more and more, and I will. The harmonies are delicious and the guitar work is both exciting and soothing at the same time. I like the mix of songs and the sequence of tracks is comforting and quite beautiful.

Awesome!
Tim is a genius; I see him play every chance I can. My favorite song on this album (today) is Autumn Garden. All his cds are wonderful.

The Back Fields
Great album! I listen to it over and over. I am especially moved by the title track about the back fields. Lots to think about and sing about...

Another excellent CD from Tim Grimm
This is another excellent CD from Tim Grimm. You can classify it as folk, but in reality it is just plain good. All of the songs seem so real. It's as if you knew each character or lived each life.

Excellent
Excellent, there is just no more to say 'bout this CD. Highly recommended!

BUY IT!
No doubt, a great album to go down the road with, sit back and relax with, or plug it in at work. An album for all occasions. Love the stories.

I was blessed enough to see Tim at Celebration Circle in San Antonio, Tx. I was instantly hooked, bought The Back Fields, and have since bought this cd for some friends. I love this cd, each song is a treasure.

Great voice, great stories
Tim does an awesome job of bringing the stories of life to song, and his voice is perfect for singing his stories. His songs tell the stories of people and thier lives, but I can't help but see myself in his stories.

The best so far
This is Tim's best work ever. He mixes just enough folk with country to make it a really great sound.
The only thing better than this CD would be to have Tim's playing right in front of ya.
