Kevin Cook (Coyote Dream Records)

Real accessible jazz by extremely talented musicans.
Excellent record. Not background elevator music and yet not abstract distracting music. This is music that doesn't forget it's roots in the dance. This group swings! This is a very tight trio in the spirit of The Oscar Peterson Trio. Phenomenal technique and tasteful playing throughout the ensemble. Extra gems are the addition of steel drums in the jazz setting (Caught Leon Steelin') and an interesting jazz interpretation of Beethoven (Fur Elise). Interesting renditions of "Three Blind Mice" and "Linus And Lucy". This album is serious jazz but has a sense of humor. Folks, buy this CD.

Hot, Hot, Hot !
This CD is on fire. A great bridge of old a new piano stylings. An interesting listen for the seasoned jazzer and the neophyte alike. I'd recommend this to everyone. This 'cat' is going to be famous. Already looking forward to the next release.

Great business gift for vibrant friends and business acquaintances
Incredible music written with taste yet newness. Tim has taken old songs and twisted them into new, unchartered territory. I have purchased several copies of this CD for distribution to clients and business partners. I hope to see more albums from Tim McDonald in the future!

Definitely buy this...
This compilation of contemporary piano & jazz selections has everything a music fan could want, from upbeat rhythmic and dancy numbers to sombre rainy day tunes - it's got a bit of something for everyone, and everyone should give a little something back to Tim by picking this one up. Don't sprain a finger, Timmy...

Tamara Turner, CD Baby

Clever, mischievous, persuasive and commanding, this is no run of the mill piano jazz trio. Teasing you, taunting you, ensnaring you with familiar, zesty nuggets your ear grabs onto, only to take you on a most stormy and swift ride through surprising territories, this is not the album you will put on to drink your wine- this is a concentrated distillation of pungent motivic writing that gives you a taste of the familiar before plunging you into the capsized flip side of the themes you thought you knew. Leaving you breathless at first, then spiraling you into surrendered entertainment, this album is kicking new legroom in the piano trio box.
