Album Notes

From the very first song on this project to the last, these songs speak of the goodness and the faithfulness of God.
I can attest to God's faithfulness. Like everyone else I've had my share of ups and downs, but God has been my steadfast anchor through every storm.
The first song "he's still there" reminds us that God will never leave us, no matter what happens in our life
Song number two, "At the Well" tells the story of the woman who went to draw water from the well, and in finding Jesus there she met the giver of the life giving water.
Have you ever had need of a healing in your body? The song "I will go to the Healing Stream" tells you where to go to when you're hurting, or that little baby you're holding is burning up with fever. That healing stream is still flowing today.
Song number four "Something in the upper room".... I wrote that one night sitting in church when a man got up to preach. He spoke of the change in Peter and the other disciples after their upper room experience. He said "I tell you, them boys got something in that upper room". when he said that, the songwriter in me latched onto that and said that would make a good song. And it did. The Wilburns recorded it too and sang it all over the country.
"Calling me back home" tells of the prodigal son. No matter what we do in life, or how far away from God we roam, He still is wanting us back. What a loving Father He is.
Song number six speaks of how the fig tree is turning green.... A reminder of the day we are living in and how close we are to His return.
The Wilburns also recorded song number seven "Looking through the eyes of Love".... God always sees us through those eyes. He doesn't look at our faults and our failures, but He sees us as made in His image, and loves us in spite of everything.
Song number eight "Only sleeping"... children of God never die, they just sleep. An encouraging word to remind us there IS eternal life after we leave this world.
And the last song, "The Holy Spirit prayed". a reminder that He sets on the right hand of the Father, making intercession for us.
All of these songs will bring encouragement to the listener. No matter what you might be experiencing in your life, God knows, He's there with you, He will stay and not leave, He will never "bail out".... He's with you forever.
What a great God He is !
