Just Rolled In

by Toby Walker

There's a good reason why Jorma Kaukonen of Hot Tuna has Toby Walker teach fingerpicking guitar at the Fur Peace Ranch. Walker's a master at acoustic blues, rags and hot improvisational fingerpicking and this CD showcases some of his incredible style.

Album Notes
After the success of his last CD, "Plays Well With Others", I was a bit concerned. How would Toby Walker follow up something that has been described as 'simply incredible'?

Well, I have the answer. I just finished listening to the latest release by Toby Walker, "Just Rolled In". This solo acoustic project recorded live is destined to be one of the finest CDs released - probably until his next one!

Walker covers the entire spectrum - rags, blues, traditional, roots, slide - no holds barred. He displays his intimate knowledge of music and life on tunes that are truly gripping. Mostly originals, they provide a glimpse into the personality of one of the foremost purveyors of American Roots music that you've ever experienced. There's humor, heart, and insights apparent that make you embrace not only this CD, but the artist as well.

From the incredibly innovative interpretation of "Frankie & Johnny" to the cutting "I've Got The Dirt On You", this CD will keep you riveted. Toby Walker has an innate love of his instrument, music, and life that is apparent in each of the gems on this outstanding effort. Songs such as "Bernie's Blues" harken us back to a time and place that truly move the spirit, but to say that isn't fair - because it applies to each track on "Just Rolled In".

There are very few sure things in life - and "Just Rolled In" is one of them!

I bought this album for one song that I heard in a time of great sorrow and pain. That song saved me for a called a friend after I heard it and I was able to "Chase the blues away." So thank you for all you do to keep the blues alive.

Toby is amazing...I bought this CD for myself and friends. Everyone loves it! Saw him live in Massachusetts and was in awe. If you aren't a blues fan, you will be after listening to Toby.

WOW!!!!! There is simply no end to this guy's talent! Toby Walker will surely be one of the legends that future generations will speak about! PHENOMENAL guitar playing, moving lyrics - the whole spectrum. He's the real deal. A must have for any collection.

Simply a HUGE amount of talent for one individual to have!

Awesome show!
I was in the audience at the Boulton Center in Bay Shore when this live CD was recorded, and I must say it was one of my all-time favorite concerts. Toby and his instruments lit a fire on the stage, and your CD player may ignite as well!

Pamela Peterson

It's ALL good!
Not only can the guy play the blues like he's channeling the whole Mississippi Delta, but he's great on stage!!! Seen him live once--seeing him again soon--inviting all my friends. The rest of them get this album.

Peter Beckley

If you can't see him live, get this CD-even better than last one
Plays well with others was superb. This is even better. We don't get to see him in the U.K often, but this CD compensates perfectly.100% entertainment.Essential listening for anyone who appreciates acoustic blues at its best.

Rockin' and Rootsy!
After his last CD, I couldn't wait for this one. Now I can't wait for the next. Toby Walker has become one of my all time favorites.
