Album Notes
Tom Knutson is an songwriter/singer from the Twin Cities area. His simple acoustic based songs are a throwback to the 1960s, giving you 3 minutes of heart felt pop emotion in each song. His influences are very Beatlesque in nature, (especially the solo work of George Harrison and John Lennon) with leanings toward Jeff Lynne (ELO, Travelin’ Wilburys, and The Move), Roy Orbison, The Moody Blues (Justin Hayward), Cheap Trick, Big Star and Pink Floyd. Thus, his music is a unique blend to create his own style, yet has a familiar feel to it.
"Pluto's a Planet", his 2nd release, is a 5 song EP continuing his infectious songwriting style (with a touch of 12-string) established on "Feel The Sound", his 2006 release. Expanding the horizon of his lyrics, "Pluto's a Planet" takes you through a solid set of songs exploring love, hope and the search for life's true meaning.
