ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I'm On My Way Home

The inspiration for the lyric for “I'm On My Way Home” was my brother in law Roger Case formerly of Mondamin, IA. Rog married my ex-wife's older sister Jeannie when she became a widow with 5 small kids. He was farming then and had an Autocar pulling his grain box to move his and his neighbor's grain to the elevators at harvest time. Rog and Jeannie had a daughter and raised up all 6 kids to be fine productive adults, all finishing at least high school and some graduated college. They all went on to have happy successful lives.

When times got rough and Rog lost the farm he turned to driving over the road to make a living which he did till health issues forced him to retire. A lot of people relate to the struggles of small farmers , a lot of people can relate to the many days and nights OTR drivers spend on the road away from home, and everybody can relate to “Home Sweet Home.”

I'm On My Way Home

W&M by Tom Tomoser

Well I got my rig a rollin
I'm headin down the road
Used to plant lots of corn
On the eighty where I was born
I'm Pushin a Pete to make ends meet
So I can feed my family
Every Time I take the wheel
An angel rides right next to me

I'm On My Way Home
I'm On My Way Home
To that little piece of Heaven
That I call my very own

Had to dead head to Frisco
To get a back haul home
Running along side
The ocean white with foam
I find my way down to “Eighty”
The Boulevard she's all mine
I catch some fuel in Salt Lake City
Then Nebraska is lookin pretty

Repeat chorus

I'm know some folks have money
For sure all they need
But I'm certainly a long way from poor
I stand in awe
Of the sunrise and
The colors in the fall
But they fade in every way
When compared to the best of all

Repeat chorus

This is pure country at it's best, talkin the talk of the of the guys and dolls who move everything America needs to function and continue to provide the best living available anywhere in the world! Take it down to your local watering hole and have them play it so you can move to fine solid beat of a great country tune.

That's a big 10-4 good buddy!
