Album Notes

"A great album by any standard. Highly recommended”
All Music Guide

“The Toyes’ second release, Strange Animals, makes me happy... direct, rootsy reggae, worthy of the Marley heritage. ...charming, upbeat, eccentric entertainment.” Crossroads Magazine

American counter-culture reggae-rockers The Toyes team up with Jamaican Reggae all-stars Fully Fullwood and Santa Davis from the legendary Peter Tosh Band on this guitar-driven roots reggae album by the band best known for Smoke Two Joints, America’s #1 all-time reggae track. Featured tracks include Waiting For The Aliens, Mr. Dinosaur, and the roots reggae anthem, Pick Yourself Up.

Heavyweight guests include all-star Reggae musicians Tony Chin and Jawge Hughes. Mixed by Grammy Award nominee John Cuniberti (Joe Satriani)

Loved Waiting for the Aliens.
Great music if you are in a mellow mood, even if you're not into reggae. Selected Waiting For The Aliens to be in my independent movie - Yucca Man - it's perfect!

The Toyes
What can I say, I was hooked at the Aquarian Love Fest and have been an avid fan ever since, The Toyes ROCK! Haven't danced like that since the fat man died.
P.S. I miss Takilma!
