ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Songwriter Tracy Barfield, an Orlando, Florida native, began work in the entertainment industry at an early age. The former member of the Screen Actors Guild appeared in local and national television commercials, brochures for many of the Central Florida area theme parks, and performed on stage in professional dinner theatre. The son of a Korean War veteran, Silver Star recipient, and Medal of Honor nominee, as well as the 5th great grandson of Revolutionary War patriot, first mayor of Petersburg, VA, and one of the original signers of the Articles of Confederation, Col. John J. Banister, Tracy's love of God and country runs generations deep. Being raised in such a diverse Southern city, He grew up listening to all kinds of music but says Country and Gospel music have always felt like home. He discovered his love of writing in his early childhood and began writing poetry in his high school days, but it would be a decade later before his love of writing finally blended with his love of music and he wrote his first song. Though Tracy has left the flatlands of Florida for the mountains of East Tennessee, you can often find him blending his love of God and country in song and still feeling quite at home.
