ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The second CD of Trio Corrente came after several years of intense activity of the band. There were numerous shows in Brazil and Europe and special projects with artists such as Paquito D'Rivera, Anthony Wilson, Stacey Kent, Leila Pinheiro, Hamilton de Holanda and Leny Andrade. In this interval, the members, Edu Ribeiro, Fabio Torres and Paul Paulelli launched their respective albums. The CD "Volume 2" recorded in the last days of 2010 was able to capture the nuances that make the Trio Corrente's shows intense and unique. This new record shows the soloist and improviser side of each one, the almost telepathic interplay between the musicians, the arrangements, highly personal readings, and brings original compositions in almost half of the tracks. "Volume 2" is a synthesis of influences and the formation of each of the three musicians: the ballrooms, São Paulo's nights, jazz, classical music, the choro and forró, gathered with a great aesthetic balance.
