Trolley is a power pop mod combo based out of Milwaukee, WI, that regularly tours the midwest and beyond. They have toured with the likes of New Found Glory and Reel Big Fish and have shared the stage with Dick Dale, Los Straightjackets, Cotton Mather and many like-minded pop-freak outfits. Trolley has played Austin's South By Southwest and Toronto's North By Northeast, as well as Milwaukee's Summerfest and Chicago's International Pop Overthrow. With four cds and one 45 to their credit, Trolley entered Madison's Smart Studios to complete mixdown on their new cd, "Last Chance Dance", with engineer Mike Zirkel, who has worked with Garbage and The London Suede. Combining all the great influence of sixties pop and mod along with seventies punk and new wave, "Last Chance Dance" is truly a gem for the ages.
"Trolley is nothing short of amazing. Over the last eight years the Milwaukee band has released a string of virtually flawless recordings that revitalize '60s rock (plus give a nod or two toward '70s punk) without sounding especially nostalgic. It's not an easy balance to maintain. Trolley succeeds because they are deeply informed about two-guitar rock, the '60s British Invasion and everything that happened in its wake. Songwriters Terry Hackbarth (vocals, bass), Paul Wall (vocals, guitar) and Mike Perotto (vocals, guitar) aspire to the levels set in the mid-'60s by Ray Davies and George Harrison. At its best, Trolley's music is every bit as good as the band's role models." - Dave Luhrrsen, Shepherd Express
"A lesson in pure rock and roll. Quite possibly the best guitar duo in pop, Perotto and Wall draw from a history book that runs the gamut from surf to power chord heaven to rock and roll fury." - ShakeItUp.org - NXNE review
"2003 release from this long running Wisconsin band and their strongest. Combining all the great influence of sixties pop and mod along with seventies punk and new wave, "Last Chance Dance" is truly a gem for the ages." - NotLame.com
