Mixing elements of folk, rock n’ roll and old school country (and probably a whole lot of other things) The Truhearts have a sound that definitely stands out in today’s music. There is something genuine and authentic about The Truhearts music, something that is getting harder and harder to find these days Their music is about creating a mood and expressing an emotion while at the same time connecting to the listener. The Truhearts have a sound that is fresh and new, yet somehow familiar… that is, familiar in a good way.
With an effortless yet moving delivery, Lena Asinovsky provides the majority of lead vocals. She has an incredibly pleasing voice with a laid back style that is at once soothing and captivating. Adam, the principle songwriter, provides harmony and additional lead vocals. The Truhearts music is about the songs and the singer. Plain and Simple. No fancy tricks or effects, just good music. Great songs with engaging vocals, delivered in a way that makes sense and sounds good. The music and arrangement is not overproduced, on the contrary it is sometimes sparse, sometimes full and is crafted in such a way that always supports the songs themselves.
The Truhearts previously performed as Adam and Lena and under that moniker released the acoustic cd Tea by Moonlight. With a release in 2008 to great reviews, Tea By Moonlight steadily climbed up the Americana Charts and has been played on over 65 radio stations nationally.
In the summer of 2011 with the release of their full band cd Ghost of Love, Adam and Lena officially changed their name to The Truhearts. With their new band sound The Truhearts will bring their music to a whole new audience.
