“A beautiful aspect of playing Indian Classical and folk music is that up to 90% of the music is improvisational in nature. This quality inspires us to be “in the moment” as much as possible which is where the most inspired thoughts and feelings are being born. the path of discovering what lies within each moment, to open our hearts to what is actually happening around us and within us, is a path of bravery and of great power & compassion. Awakening to the moment is not only a musicians great aspiration, it is what allows us all to become fully human.” Ty Burhoe
