Album Notes
Crossing Over is a progressive Southern Gospel Band based out of Brookhaven Mississippi. A group of friends who love to have a good time and play good music the best they know how for the Lord! Tyler Bridge, Marvin Curtis, and Denise Leggett started in 2003 playing at churches and festivals adding Jessica Curtis and Nick Bridge a few years later. The variety of influences that these musicians and singers draw from meshed in a new sound that blends and “Crosses Over” Traditional Southern Gospel, Country Gospel, Inspirational and Contemporary. This CD certainly has something for everyone!

This project was recorded at Route 1 Recording in Monticello, MS and includes “The Long Run”, “Crossing Over, “This Could Be the Day” written and sung by Tyler Bridge who also plays Lead Guitar and Bass on this project.

Tyler collaborating with pianist Marvin Curtis produced “True Friend” sung by Denise Leggett and “This Could Be the Day” Sung by Denise, Jessica and Tyler.

“One Day Closer” is an optimistic song written by Nick Bridge who also plays all the drums and acoustic guitar on this CD.

Highlights include Jessica Curtis’ rendition “The Blood Will Never Lose It’s Power” which was recorded in one take!!

“Jesus is the Light” is a very powerful uplifting song written by Mark Brown of Taylors, SC. The CD ends with a guitar instrumental of “I Surrender All” performed by Tyler.

Crossing Over prides them selves on performing 100% live music with no soundtracks or accompaniment. Helping them achieve this live is Kim Bridge, Amanda Howell-Price and Brian Turnage. Call 601-833-1270 for more information!!!

Very good!! No smoke blowing here!
First, Tyler and Nick's grandmother, Bonnie Beeson is my good friend. We have known each other for years and she sent me the link so I could listen. I live probably no more than 5 miles from Bonnie. I am a musician myself and have been playing guitar for years. I'm being very honest in what I say: You guys really sound good! The musicianship is superlative from all of you who played. On the vocal side, I particularly liked Denise's voice with Jessica a close second - both very nice! This is not being critical of anyone else. Tyler's strong suit is guitar, hands down! His tremendous talent on that instrument is very obvious. Everyone who played sounded terrific. The CD overall is very good. Notice I gave you an honest rating of 4 stars! It'd be mighty hard to get 5 stars out of me! Just keep it up and keep having fun! That's what I do! As Buddy Holly said, Rave On!! Jerry Floyd

From the first song "The Long Run" to the great acoustic version of "I Surrender All"(I love the bird singing in the background), this is one great CD. My two favorite "upbeat" songs are "Crossing Over" and "This Could Be The Day". I've already downloaded it onto my i-pod. What wonderful, uplifting music to listen to while walking, reading or during your "quiet-time" in the morning. I highly recommend this CD to anyone who wants to be encouraged in their daily walk with the Lord. I am so proud of you all!.....Mr. Kevin
