Album Notes
This album was specifically created for those times in the Jewish tradition when we don't hear instruments: the Omer count and the Three Weeks of Av. It is a moving journey for a different kind of listening: deeper, quieter. The fullness of the singing comes through in it's purity, not hidden behind complex musical arrangements and heavy instrumentation: just like G-d created it. It is a liberation and a freedom experience of musical expression. Some arrangements are based on instrumental arrangements that I "played" with my voice. I had fun in my own home studio, pitchshifting to get different tones (that's why there sounds like a holy brother singing along on some songs!) I gave myself over to the limitations of the time of the omer count, accepting the challange of creating a purely vocal album, and found that it is among my favorite work. Of course it also is for all year long, and could be good for meditation, movement, healing therapies, and rest. For women only, please. See you in Jerusalem!

Koli el Hashem My Voice to G-D
The voice is superb. The melody is haunting. The music tells us that peace is possible if only we would stop and listen. I want my choir to get this music and sing it, for us to vocalize and our audiences to become immersed and put all hatred and bigotry and animosity far far away.
