BEETHOVEN PIANO WORKS
RE: BEETHOVEN PIANO WORKS
REVIEW - TINA D.
TZVI EREZ, piano

This album is an absolute treat for Beethoven enthusiasts. Hard to believe that on one album or CD you find five (5) Sonatas, namely the Moonlight Sonata as well as the Sonata Pathetique, consisting of three parts each, also Sonatas No. 13 and 17, plus the well known “Fur Elise” and the Spring Sonata - all compliment this outstanding musical treat. The last item on his program is the lovely Sonatina Anh. 5-Romanze- Andante, which no doubt, you will adore, as I do. This is such a sweet Sonatina, and it is part of a piano book for students.

This program has been carefully chosen by Mr. Erez, who interprets Beethoven in an absolute realistic exercise. This pianist‘s touch is gentle where required and temperamental where necessary, which creates an exiting interpretation of the music, yet at all times he strictly adheres to the composer’s writings. These works are performed on a 1912 Vintage Bosendorfer, which needs no introduction. This certainly will be a nice addition to your Beethoven collection.

Marvelous Playing and Interpretations
I purchased Mr. Erez' Beethoven Piano Works CD and it is absolutely sublime!

Throughout all of his marvelous CD's, he plays the delicate balance between explosive fortissimo, and serene melodic pianissimo flawlessly, despite the vast contrasts and complexity, and he has total control over every piece. His interpretations are superior to any that I have ever heard. Mr. Erez is the most impeccable pianist you'll ever hear. His precise pedal control produces unequaled sustainability and clarity; unfortunately, a rarity among some other classical piano artists.

I also purchased all of Mr. Erez' CD's and not only do I highly recommend this one, but I highly recommend ALL of them. They are marvelous!
