ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
UB is a modern high energy band inspired by their Ukrainian-Canadian roots. UB is based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Their music is a blend of traditional Ukrainian Zabava (dance) music with Rock n' Roll and Country music.

UB was formed in 1997 by a group of friends who thought that starting a Ukrainian Polka band was some sort of great idea. As it turned out, it was some sort of great idea and for over the last 14 years, people seem to have tolerated UB's musical stylings. That kind tolerance has led the band to many festivals, malankas, zabavas and countless weddings across Canada and the United States (and at least one divorce in Two Hills, Alberta). UB released their debut CD in 2002 entitled Hardwood Harmonics. They somehow found the time to record their second album, Homebrew'd Hi-Fi released in the late summer of 2011.
