Album Notes
Ulrich Drechsler, known as saxophonist of the internationally celebrated group “Cafe Drechsler” presents in his debut “Humans & Places” his own, very personal compositions for the very first time.
“Humans & Places” is taking him back to his first instrument, the bass clarinet. Together with longtime companions bass player Oliver Steger and drummer Jörg Mikula, furthermore pianist extraordinaire Tord Gustavsen from Norway he put together a fantastic group. In Tord Gustavsen he found a partner, that perfectly absorbs his ideas, processing them in his unmistakable, unique way. Not to forget austrian pianist Peter Ponger who is playing two tracks on this album.
The ultimate lineup for Ulrich Drechsler’s musical world.
