My parents named me Max. They knew: anything less will not be enough. So did my piano teacher when at age thirteen I have graduated from the music school; and my high school instructors, who awarded me the Silver Medal of academic excellence; and my college classmates who watched me graduating with Masters in computer engineering ahead of schedule and leaving to the U.S.
Music among computers, astrophysics, poetry, philosophy, and politics is the strongest of my passions. To me music is an exact science and subtle art of weaving emotions. Fashion and technology have everything to do with it. Fashion sets up the bounds, but the creativity armed with technology is aimed at breaking them. That is why my music is not mainstream: there has been enough gray before me, and the only way to stand out is to paint skies red. Yet, if you step too far off the ray of 'main', you will be lost in the darkness of misunderstanding and commercial failure. This rule I always remember: I do not believe in art for the sake of art as I don't believe in unprofitable business. Art is always for somebody, and in order to survive it needs a supportive audience.
Why the fusion of classical and techno? Because I'm young and want to celebrate life's happiness dancing to the beat driven by the finest, most intricate melody. Paul van Dyk, Depeche Mode, Mozart and Tchaikovsky are among my all-time favorites.
What do I do to reach success in music? First of all, I polish my composition, production and engineering skills and research modern music and people's perception (I cannot be successful if my art does not stand on its own merits). I relentlessly solicit feedback, reviews, radio and club plays (over two dozen radio stations and clubs world wide play my music), send out demos, sell CDs (over 200 sold so far) and search for those who will believe in me. For that matter I'm putting a great effort into promoting my new Digital Bliss album specifically focusing on U.S., Canadian and European distribution. When the time comes I will tour, and will be a star.
