Album Notes
The University of Mississippi Men's Glee is an eighty voice ensemble that performs a variety of choral music. Lux Aeterna is dedicated to this ensemble with a world premier in April of 2010 on the Ole Miss campus. K. Lee Scott has created a beautiful and stirring five movement work, one to certainly receive many performances in the years to come. Soloists Logan Rebstock and David Walton are superb in their singing, both students at the university when the recording as created. The writing for the solo flute and cello add tremendously to the overall work and performed brilliantly by Diane Wang (flute) and Mark Wallace (cello). The essential piano work is played flawlessly by student accompanist Justin Crouch. The work was conducted by the composer. The choir was prepared by Dr. Donald Trott, Director of Choral Activities at Ole Miss.
