The debut EP, “Inner Voices” is an Indie Folk album, drawing on musical influences such as Feist, Ingrid Michaelson and Brooke Fraser. “Good music speaks to you in ways where words fail,” Vanessa Faith says. “Inner Voices” echoes this sentiment, with songs like “Green-Eyed-Monster” and “Peek-A-Boo” written as a response to her struggles and many episodes in life, particularly in the past two years. The album has a heavy emphasis on the themes of Freedom and Victory as she learnt to deal with what life handed her.
About Vanessa Faith:
Vanessa Faith found her immense love for song composition at the age of 14, writing songs on the guitar and keyboard that she taught herself to play. She has performed at a variety of events, from schools, to private parties, to mainstream gigs such as the recent MeRadio Rocks the Marina and other various stage productions over the years. Apart from playing the guitar and the keyboards, she also features other miscellaneous instruments in her songwriting such as the ukulele, the xylophone, harmonica as well as percussions.
Vanessa took part in Singapore Noise Apprenticeship in 2010 to realise her dream of writing and sharing her original songs. She also won the "Best Singer-Songwriter" award at Originals Only Open Mic, an initiative by Singapore Art Cafe, in November 2010. Vanessa is also currently sponsored by Gibson Singapore.
