ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Rebecca is an international cabaret artist.

She has performed her one-woman show, 'Going Solo' from the famed Cinegrill in Los Angeles to Amsterdam where audiences who have compared her to Bette Midler and Carol Burnett.

The CD, 'Going Solo...' is based on Rebecca's acclaimed one-woman show by the same name. It features her marvelously clear voice, super arrangements and a terrific combo of live instrumentalists all working in harmony to create a delightful mix of various styles.

Tune in and you'll be tapping your toes to the jazz, laughing to her comedic interpretations of her own 'The It Girl' and 'The Man Who Isn't' and reaching for the tissues during her poignant original, 'Just This Dream' and Jacques Brel's 'The Desperate Ones.'

There are reasons why people who have purchased one CD have re-ordered them as gifts: Yes, all of the above is reason enough, but what's more: If you long for a love life, empathize with those who don't, have an unmarried friend or loved one, or a parent who doesn't understand why you're not hitched, this CD is for you!

Deserves wider recognition
Wonderfully creative, both lyrically and vocally. Excellent renditions of well-known tunes (listen to her take on "He Touched Me", which is clever, smart, and humorous -- her sultry reading of "I Wanna Be Loved By You" leaves Marilyn Monroe's Betty Boop version deep in the dust), and originals ("The Man Who Isn't..." is fun, topically contemporary and true-to-life). Ms. Varon deserves wider recognition.
