ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album "Tango Universal" received two Grammy nominations; 2010 Latin Grammy nomination for "Best Tango Album" and 2011 Grammy for "Best Contemporary World Music Album". Vayo has also received a Latin Grammy nomination in 2007 for his "Tango Legends" as "Best Tango Album".
"Tango Universal" is a genre pioneer due to its theme selection that includes compositions from other cultures interpreted in the style of the progressive tangos of the present. Vayo's original vocal style is integrated with the acoustic instruments and is fully embedded in the dramatic content of the music.
