ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“I've listened to your album and am quite blown away, not only are there great songs and musicianship, but the production is one of the best I've heard in Miami…I would love to have you guys on the show”. These were the words expressed by Nivv Oudit, WRPG 88.1 and 91.5FM Local DJ, when handed a copy of Venejer’s 2007 self-released debut album “The Fourth Prime”. Rock reminiscent of the late 80’s and early 90’s, transcending vocal harmonies, ripping guitar solos, and hard-pounding modern beats are the factors behind the alternative hard rock quintet Venejer.

Vocalist Juan Amato met lead guitar player Jose M. Gonzalez in the summer of 2004 while attending Miami Dade College. An instant chemistry and friendship led them into writing music immediately “One day we were sitting on the stairs of MDC’s main building and the next we were finishing recording rough tracks in the computer…ideas were flowing everywhere, from bone-crushing riffs to epic rock ballads, we were writing everything we wanted” Gonzalez explains. Striving for a chance to perform their material live and push their music to the public, they set out to find drummer Christian Espinales. “He gave Venejer that hard edge we were looking for…we were ready to start rocking the s!%t out of the live scene” Amato explains.

After a couple of years of playing many shows in the Miami underground scene and going through different bassists and rhythm guitarists, Venejer finally found Oniel Lafitte. Lafitte showed talent, passion, and drive for Venejer’s music resulting on an immediate pick for rhythm guitar spot “I wanted to find a band determined to make it big! And these were my guys” Lafitte says. Soon after finding Lafitte, Venejer started recording their first album “The Fourth Prime”. The album was self produced and recorded by the band in their home studio and self-released in November of 2007. During the post-production of the album, Venejer found the missing piece of the puzzle, Diego Rosin, a talented and solid bass player who added muscle to the alternative band.

Venejer is real, in-your-face hard rock. They follow no rules but their own, please their audience at every show, and leave them longing for more. They are ready to take over the rock scene with their album “The Fourth Prime” and are excited to start booking shows across the country.
