ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The CD begins with an original re-composition of a 15th century Spanish folk song, moves into and introspective examination of the great Charles Mingus ballad, Goodbye Porkpie Hat. after that, this cd becomes a good natured, often times, sweet and playful set of arrangements of some very familiar standards from songs by Cole Porter and Irving Berlin. With famed Basie bassist, James Leary and LA session drummer, Fritz Wise, and Pianist/band leader Vince di Mura.
