Album Notes
Recorded in November/ December 2012 in South London, this record is the darker, more spacious companion to Surrounded By Ghosts, the previous album released in April. Between the two, Voodoo rays have established a kaleidoscopic palette evoking everything from chaos to languidity, and every shade between. Deliberately recording as near to live as possible, and refusing to use studio tricks to fill out the sound, the Voodoo Rays are getting nearer to the stated aim of going somewhere they've never been before with each new release, as well as closing the gap between their records and incendiary live shows.
Self-written, self-produced, self-mixed and self-released, they maintain the fieriest traditions of independent noise with a desire to articulate the here and now in ways anyone can understand.
