ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Wafic Khalil is a Lebanese-American artist currently living in the Greater Los Angeles area. Born to a singer and a poet, Wafic demonstrated a passion for the Arts at a very young age. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Filmmaking from Massachusetts College of the Arts and obtained a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts.
Wafic is an accomplished singer, songwriter, musician and a filmmaker. His previous productions include a Christmas album in 1999, a documentary in 2003 and a feature film in 2005. He released another Christmas album titled “Talj el Milad” in 2007; it was distributed all over the U.S. and was completely sold out on Amazon.com. The album “Jayee Papa Noel” marks his latest Arabic Christmas recording.
Wafic is currently working on recording an Easter album to be released during spring 2014. He is also in post-production of his latest movie tentatively titled "Anything for..". Moreover, an Arabic pop music album is due to be released in the spring of 2015.
ABOUT THE CD:
This Album is a testimony to Wafic's greatest love of Christmas and the Holiday season. It is a labor of love that began a few years ago and remained alive. It includes songs recorded a while ago but have never been released in CD format until now. These songs were re-mastered and new songs were added.
This album contains seven timeless Christmas tunes including an extended version of the Award nominated "Jayee La'Enna" song plus three original compositions, all written by the Lebanese-American singer Wafic.
