ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Oh, Yeah! is the first single from Wake of Redemption's upcoming debut album Earthshaker. Interestingly, it is also the first song ever written by the band. Like most WoR songs, it was written as a collaborative effort. Nick contributed the main intro/verse riff, Matt provided the chorus riff and lead licks, and Stephen pulled it together with drums. Since its inception in 2008, Oh, Yeah! has evolved considerably into what it sounds like now. Originally, the song was played at around half the tempo it currently resides at and vocals have been passed between at least three different possible singers. It was during the writing of Oh, Yeah! that Stephen's voice was discovered resulting in the decision to make him pull double duty as lead vocalist and drummer.

Lyrically, Oh, Yeah! is about standing up against hypocrites and bullies. While the lyrics are written in a more playful, colloquial style than WoR's other material, they made for a fun, good 'ole fashioned metal throwdown.

Powerful sound...
I would highly recommend this track from a hot new band from NC! The musicians are all amazing and accomplished as individuals, and when they join together as a band, Wake of Redemption is a powerful punch in the face of awesomeness. You should definitely check out "Oh Yeah"! I can't wait to hear more from the new Earthshaker album!
