Album Notes
The much-anticipated album "Was Like" is the sophomore release from rapper/ producer Waslyk, creator of Prophestyle Productions and Lieless Records. In 2004 "All For All" hit the streets of Spokane, Washington and demonstrated Waslyk's hunger to introduce himself to the industry with dark and diverse beats, complex lyrics, and strong positive message. The album's hit single "Conqueror" carried the album with its message of family and staying focused on the people that are most important in our lives. "Conqueror" was well received and created many promotional opportunities across the Northwest.

Now in June 2009, the new release "Was Like" reintroduces Waslyk in a more focused role as an artist that represents hip-hop in it's original form. Hip-hop is traditionally made up of four elements, DJ, break dance, graffiti "writers", and rap. When Waslyk isn't reflecting on telling his own story, his songs reflect hip-hop in it's defiance of status quo, self-expression, and breaking boundaries both self imposed and those we're subjected to. Since Waslyk has been in the music scene, his live shows consist of the elements with break dance competitions and live performances. The new release is a natural reflection of the direction he's taken in fighting with so many to keep hip-hop alive and real in an industry of hype and moral gray.

Long Time Waiting!!
I've been waiting for this album forever and Waslyk did not disappoint! It's like he's got his focus sharper on this album. I love the different dynamics to the style yet he stays consistent. I just love having an album I can play around my ol' lady and the kids!

Phil's Master Piece! 10 Star Rating!!!
...First Of All I'm Speechless! ...Then After I Have Finally Retained My Voice, I Quickly Realize That Eminem Himself Would Stand Up And Loudly Applaud Phil's Sophomore Effort Here And Would Be Somewhat Jealous Of Phils Rhymes And Magic Here! Great Fantastic Hip Hop Music Here And Phil Spits It As He Sees It! What A Great Shining Example Phil Has Set In His Lyrics Reaching Outward To The Youth Of America And Our Great Hopes Of Tomorrow And To Other Older Somewhat Lost Souls Like Myself As He Has Also Reached Upward Towards That Greater Light In Heaven It Seems For Guidance In Reaching The Lost And Forgotten And Some What Under Privileged In Our Still Somewhat Great Society! What A Great Musical Effort Phil! =)

5 Stars all the way!
Great music without all the crap that is usually associated with hip-hop. Spread the word. This guy is awesome!
