Weak For His Glory is a different kind of artist. There isn't anything out there that you can compare her to. Her music is living and active, filled not with her own words, but mostly the Word of God. When ask why, this is her response:
"Why use my own words, that hold no power, when I can use His Word that holds all the power? God tells us in Jeremiah 23:29, 'Is not My Word like fire,' declares the LORD, 'and like a hammer that breaks rock into pieces?'"
"It isn't often that I pick up my guitar to write unless I feel a pressing or some sort of urgency to do so. Oftentimes, a scripture or passage will repeat over and over until I sit down to start strumming my guitar. But every since we finished the recording of this album, I haven't picked up my guitar but once.
These new set of songs I really can't take any credit for. I just love them. I worship the LORD to them, still, even after we completed the recording process. There is just something different about these songs, and anyone who listened to my music in the past can hear that difference as well. I've started before and I'll say it again: Why use my own words, that hold no power, when I can use the Word of God that holds all the power?" Jeremiah 23:29
There is a younger generation that is looking for something different; music that doesn't just attract their attention with an edgier sound, but also with authenticity. Many times, one can listen and tell when a song has been written for the sake of selling; but what happens when one listens and something starts to grip their spirit and they know, without a doubt, that truth is being spoken into their being?
That same generation is rising up to personally get to know and seek of the True and Living God for themselves, instead of so much fluff and judgement that many of the older generations were raised with. Furthermore, they are standing against modern-day slavery, of any kind that has long been ignored by everyone - with a specific interest in sex-trafficking.
