ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Weekends is a 2-piece art rock band formed in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Their sound has been compared to Ponytail as well as Lightning Bolt and Death From Above 1979 due to the band's experimental guitar work and unique vocal stylings.

Lempel and Sullivan met while they were both students in Baltimore; Lempel was a philosophy student at Johns Hopkins University and Sullivan was a sculpture major at the Maryland Institute College of Art.[2] Lempel saw Sullivan play in a band called ALLNITR and said "I want to be in a band with that dude!" They practiced in Sullivan's apartment in the Copycat Building which was also the former Wham City apartment and they recorded their first album in a friend's basement in one afternoon and released it themselves.

New Humans is the brand new record, recorded by Jeremy Scott (Vivian Girls, These Are Powers) and is out on vinyl on Reoccurring Dreams Records and cassette on Friends Records with love and care from Baltimore, Maryland.
