*******

This was the first record I ever made. I still love most of it to this day. I barely knew how to play guitar when I wrote most of these songs...so I only played piano on this one. This was the first of many projects I'd work on with Tom Rogers.

The entire CD was recorded in one day in an old house in rural Americus, GA.

The record received radio airplay in Atlanta and Athens, GA, and received favorable reviews in several regional music publications such as Athens, GA's Flagpole.

All songs written by Tony Weeks.
Music performed by Tony Weeks, Jamie Anderson, Dave Rivero, Tom Rogers, Michael Fermil, and Irene Nemitsas.

FLAGPOLE CD Review: December 1, 1999
"The opener 'BackAround" has a nifty lyric in the chorus and some interesting drum work, and the highlight track, 'It's Not So Fun Being King' shows some clever songwriting in an egaging break up rocker....'No One But Everyone' is a solid and listenable effort." by Matt Thompson: FLAGPOLE MAGAZINE (Athens, GA)

Great Job Tony - Proud to Say that I know You
The CD is magnificent. I am not sure if I can compare the lyrics to anything else I have ever heard- ... even though the music sounds like a mix between Matchbox 20 and Pete Yorn. Congratulations Tony - Come out from under that rock and hit mainstream - WE ARE READY!!!

Tony's a Diamond in the Rough: Pure Talent!
Tony's unique voice is masterful in this collection of songs that ignite the fire that is so often lost in recording singer/songwriters. With the bond of his voice and acoustic guitar alone, "BROKEN MIRROR" brings music back to basics and proves the theory that in most cases less is more. I found something in every song that I can relate to. From "BACK AROUND" to the final track "JULIE," Tony's blend of true talent and insight is what it takes to make great lyrical music. I am sure you will agree.

Tony Weeks - Soulful Songwriter
"With a straightforward and fearless delivery that immediately sets him apart from the myriad of hesitant neo-folkies, Tony’s first-person declarations hit the listener dead-on with what can only be described as a sincerity wallop." -- August 2003
