ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A slow, deep and soulful journey into the heart of Nature.
A trance of poetry and song floating over a soft, dark soundscape.
A resting place.
A ritual

Drawing on her many years of ritual practice and performance, and on her deep love of Nature, Australian artist Wendy Rule branches out from the epic, passionate and Mythic world of her previous five albums, to create this gentle, deep and healing
CD. Working with long term collaborator, cellist Rachel Samuel, Wendy weaves together spoken word and song, that paint a visual picture of the beauty of Mother Earth.

The album can be approached in many ways:
As an hour long meditation or relaxation,
As soothing music for yoga, massage or reiki
As short meditations on each Element
As a guide for deep ritual.

Meditations on the 4 elements
Wendy Rule is a talented singer/songwriter and I love her music. This latest release feels like another step upon the journey moving on from the ritualistic Wolf Sky.

the steady drone of the vibraphone seems to keep one focused and the phrase "what is your gift today?" draws one down even deeper.
What more can I say, I love it! Thank you Wendy.

A Beautiful piece of work. The addition of Wendy's own artwork on the Cd puts this album in a different class from previous work. Each of Wendy's albums stand on their own as a singular works of brilliance, having their own identity. I find it impossible to choose a favourite. Wendy creates music for every element of the soul and the spirit, to heal, to inspire, to enliven, to excite and to love.
