Album Notes
merican lyric Soprano Christine Westhoff has enchanted audiences in Europe and America and her burgeoning reputation is attracting the attention of a widening public.

Classically trained as an operatic soprano, Christine focuses mainly on Oratorio and Sacred repertoire.

Her large repertoire includes a full complement of art songs, lieder and arias by such composers as Mozart, Brahms, Schumann, Gounod, Handel, Haydn, Richard Strauss, Schubert, Gluck, and Torelli. She has performed both the familiar role of Cherubino in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro and the refreshing part of Catherine in Jacques Offenbach's less well-known The Lantern Marriage.

Christine's portfolio of popular music is equally extensive, embracing beloved songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Lowe, George Gershwin and Jerome Kern, among many others.

Christine has performed a series of acclaimed recitals in Britain and Ireland and has featured on BBC radio.

Together with her husband, British organist Timothy Allen, Christine is an Artist with Arkansas Arts on Tour.
