Album Notes
White Shadow is an industrial rock band originally from Huntingtown, MD, that has relocated to Baltimore, MD. The band has a well established fan base in Calvert County, and has fostered one in its new hometown. The band blends dance-oriented electronic music with hard rock and metal to create a sound unique in the area. Heavy use of melodic synthesizers and sung rather than screamed vocals sets White Shadow apart from the normal trends seen in many bands. Pulsing electronic drums and emphasis on bass lines make the music prime for a club. However, the music played by the band is as much at home on the dance floor as it is in a mosh pit. Crunching, distorted guitars combined with the throbbing drums drive many of the songs into a frenetic, energy-filled peak. White Shadow has been compared to the likes of Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, and KMFDM. While these comparisons are valid, the band maintains its own unique idiosyncrasies not seen in any other industrial band. The band released their first album, Mindbreak in 2007 and released their second, Deus Destroyed in September of 2008.

Deus Destroyed is the second album by White Shadow. It contains songs often played live, and was recorded at Nightsky Studios in Waldorf, MD. Deus Destroyed contains the popular song "System Overhaul," as well as remixes of other songs.

"Baltimore's White Shadow are still unknown, but with their second album, they demonstrate a propensity for hard-hitting industrial rock that is sure to take them far in a scene ready to embrace the style once again." -Ilker Yücel, ReGen Magazine

"White Shadow's Deus Destroyed is proof positive that industrial rock is in an exciting state of resurgence and that this band has the potential to go far." -Ilker Yücel, ReGen Magazine

"They're a Gothic-Industrial band with an excellent, enthusiastic stage show. They all really throw themselves into performance and, in quintessentially Gothic fashion, look awesome while doing so." - Irene Jericho, Cassandra Syndrome

Buy this... do it now!!
If anyone is afraid that industrial music was starting to sound homogeneous, they haven't heard White Shadow's music yet. This band is proof that not only is the genre not stagnating, but it's stiff plenty weird and interesting to keep even the most jaded listener's attention.

Overall, great!
More along the lines of 4 and a 1/2 stars, this album is simply very good, it definitely deserves a listen. The songs are catchy and dark, especially my favorite "System Overhaul". The album is an awesome price for the quality of music. Really, anyone can find something they like in this band.
