ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Rick McCracken and Vincent Crofts, banjo and fiddle respectively, as members of the Old-Time String-band "The Wild Coyotes" have a love of the spirit and energy of fiddle and banjo duets. They meet up on most Tuesdays for a home-cooked burger and, what has become known as, "Tunes Tuesdays", to practise and learn new tunes in the old-time Appalachian style that often has alternate tunings on the fiddle as well as the banjo (which always has different tunings). On this our first collection of favorites many are performed as duets, some tracks feature back up by the other two Wild Coyotes Sallie Sublette (guitar) and Carrie Bean (bass). Our wonderful and talented friend, Bill Siems, wrote the tune, River City, and we persuaded him to play mandolin with us on that track (#3). We (Vince & Rick) certainly hope you enjoy listening to these tunes, but we are quite confident that it would be hard to out-do the pleasure we get from living these and many other tunes every week on Tunes Tuesday.
