ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"... intricately crafted arrangements and evident ensemble empathy created a shifting successfion of radiant soundscapes, from the harmonies' otherworldy shimmer in the Nordic and Balkan songs to jazz, madrigal and barbershop elements." The Scotsman

They delve into the rich harvest of traditional music all around the world, gathering songs from places as diverse as Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Africa, USA and Britain, weaving a tapestry of songs to lift the spirit and touch the heart. Much of their material is arranged specially for them by founder member Frances Cockburn.
