Album Notes
A native of Ottawa, William grew up in the Glebe where he studied piano from an early age. William attended Glebe Collegiate as well as Carleton University. After a musical hiatus through his young adulthood, he returned to the piano with a fresh perspective and a style that reflects his vibrant personality. His approach has been described as “playing the piano like a harp” and his repertoire covers a wide range of genres.

William has experience in several genres of music including classical, popular, folk and traditional as well as his original compositions. His repertoire includes, but is not limited to, traditional and popular wedding and reception music, piano bar music and music from different eras. He is also able to accommodate requests from patrons.

William has worked in several clubs and cafes in the Ottawa area. Self-proclaimed “Phantom of Hartman’s”, William played two-hour sets for Hartman’s grocery store three times a week for five years, when store renovations dictated removal of their piano .

William continues to live in Ottawa where he sets his varied urban experience to music through his own compositions. Whether played individually or woven seamlessly through his renditions of timeless hymns, popular tunes or classical favourites, William's compositions stir the soul and open the heart.
