A beautiful river of sound
When William plays, he takes us on a magic carpet ride out of the dark city and gives us a special connection with Nature and spirituality. This cd captures Willliam's special energy and spirit perfectly, and the music is great for meditating, dancing or background music for working. The music here would be ideal for modern dance and/or film soundtracks too.

This recording is a great start for William, titled "In New York" where all his improv started. Though New York city has a very tough audience. Every body loved this recording. check the audience photos in his web site: Williamruiz.net ///IT SAYS IT ALL///

Infinitely interesting
The brief taste of Ruiz's music available on his website can hardly prepare the listener for the creative exploration that the CD comprises. The tracks are as exciting for their melodic content as they are for their percussive interest. Ruiz takes a basic beat as his starting point and from this spins a web of associations that are a joy to follow and participate in. Less satisfying are the tracks with saxophone - Just give us pure Ruiz, and let us follow the mind, hands and soul of this incredible musician!
