This CD includes selections from three different recording sessions using three different rhythm sections. The first session was recorded in Los Angeles with members of "Snapshot" - Steve Werner on guitar, Dave Srb on bass, Gary Durett on drums and Jerry Peterson on sax. Backing vocals were provided by Cindy Fee and Lynn Davies.
The songs from these sessions are the most eclectic on the CD. "Right is Right" is a ska tune. "Revival" is an uptempo rock and roll masterpiece. "Tonight" is a Springsteen-like epic. And "Memories of You" is pop-rock at its finest.
The second session was recorded in Kansas City featuring members of KC's premier rock band "Shooting Star." Van McLain on guitar, Ron Verlin on bass, and Steve Thomas on Drums. All of the songs from this session - "Girls Like You," "You Never Rub Me the Wrong Way," "See How They Run," and "You're So Incomplete" are straight-ahead rockers.
The third session, also recorded in Kansas City, featured three members of KC's grammy-award winning reggae band "Blue Riddim." The songs are still basically rock songs, but Pat Pearce on keyboards, Steve McLane on drums, and Drew Myers on bass add a distintive reggae-flavor to "Twisted Dreams," "Tired of Toeing the Line," and "Cool Heart Connections."
