Woody Black 4“ are on a mission to explore all the style elements that have been brought forward by contemporary composers playing the black wood. The warm sound is what they are after, breaking, exploding or diluting it at times thus creating a broad range of styles which is characteristic of their works. A quartet of bass clarinets which orbits in the spheres of modern jazz but also allows for the occasional excursion into the avant-garde.
