Breaking to Earth is a compilation of our original worship music. You’ll hear lots of musical styles because most of the songs were written by different Worship Campers. The songs also came out of different situations, whether these were extended worship sessions, personal experiences with God or late-night prayer.
We started recording at Masterview/New Vine studio in 2011. During our recording sessions, we sometimes felt the presence of God moving in the studio so powerfully that none of us could move.
Recording was an incredible experience, and we hope above all that the same presence of God that we felt at worship camps, and later in the studio, would touch those who listen to the CD, and that they would be able to worship through our songs.
Many thanks to John Carter and New Vine Media for engineering the album, encouraging and stretching us to a new level.
In early 2008, the Lord birthed a vision for a Christian worship camp for teens through Joe Salzano and Elizabeth Miller where teen musicians could hone their music skills. Teens from over 12 area churches gathered monthly or even more frequently to lift up the name of Jesus, grow in their instrumental skills and Biblical knowledge, and compose original worship songs.
In 2010, we travelled to Israel to walk where Jesus walked and worship with Jewish and Arab believers throughout the Holy Land. Several songs on our worship album were born out of this experience.
Today, many of us are on our church worship teams. Some are pursuing music gifts individually. Some are worship leaders. As to the future of the camp, one question we are praying about is whether the Lord is calling us to spread through mission work the vision that has changed our lives.
We look forward to seeing what God has in store!
