Jason Wright creates a new sound of familiar traditional Christmas melodies with his unique, peaceful style. Jason is excited to add his sister Mary, a violinist with over 15 years experience to several tracks in his 1st Christmas CD and Jason’s 2nd CD of his professional music career.
Inspired by composers such as George Winston, Billy Joel, Elton John, Tim & Ryan O’Neill, Marty Haugen, and Beethoven; Jason arranges familiar melodies and creates new ones which inspire listeners. His albums encourage relaxation and reflection for personal time, in a worshipful setting, or for religious celebrations.
Jason began piano lessons when he was six years old and joined boy choir at the age of nine. Classically trained from the start, he connected to the passion that composers used in their music. His enthusiasm to recreate that same passion in his own childhood performances propelled him to excel.
In 1997, Jason began his studies in the music department at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He excelled in music theory and ear training, and the next four summers, began to develop his improvisational skills while leading worships at Bible Camp.
For the past five years, Jason has taught private piano and voice lessons at his studio in New Prague, Minnesota. He also works with the nationally recognized pianists, The O’Neill Brothers, selling music, editing sheet music, and as an associate pianist traveling to promote their albums. Jason has also become a part of the O'Neill Brothers' family, as they have enabled his music to be distributed through their craft shows and gift marts.
