Album Notes
The second release, "Oktibbeha County" from WSNB, is proving to listeners all across the world that the blues is still alive and growing. When you hear WSNB, you know it's blues, but unlike any other you have ever heard. The songwriting is original and fresh, yet still contains the vintage of blues masters from days gone by. The sounds are stark and gritty, yet the hooks are stainless steel, with piercing melodies what will have the listener humming tunes long after the song has left the ear.

"Oktibbeha County" spent 16 weeks on the AMA chart ( peaking at # 20.

Now playing on SIRIUS/XM RADIO: BB KING'S BLUESVILLE channel 74 - #1 Pick to Click for the week of March 14th 2009.

"This is WSNB second release and like the first one is a full platter of delta soul drenched blues rock. The best description I can use for WSNB would be to take the Texas sounds of Omar and the Howlers and bury them in the swamps of Mississippi. This CD is pure unadulterated blues rock that lacks all polish but will certainly grab its listeners. My advice is get some good greasy southern food, a cold beer and turn this CD up real loud. You won’t be disappointed. After one listen you will understand why WSNB is one of North Carolinas hottest acts and why they too will have you singing the nasty blues."
-Greg Saur, WYCE 88.1 fm, Grand Rapids MI

"If your station even plays a little rock, or any blues at all: WSNB is a no brainer. WSNB is my favorite band of 2008."
-John McGue, WNKU 89.7 fm, Northern Kentucky

"The band's brand of foot-stomping electric blues practically begs the listener to pop a cold one and tear into some pulled pork!!...rooted in gritty Delta blues, WSNB's music rocks with distinct force. Blues lovers...will find plenty to groove on."
-C. Woodrow Irvin, Washington Post

"Award-winning WSNB delivers positively blistering Mississippi blues rock...WSNB has established themselves as one of North Carolina's hottest and most sought after musical exports on the strength of their Delta soul-drenched blues-rock. The band has been making waves across the United States and beyond through festival appearances and satellite radio play."
-David Brewer, High Country Press, Boone NC

"WSNB made their first appearance at Medusa's in Greenville (SC). When WSNB took the stage everyone was blown away! This band is a must see! ...nailed every song. I don't have the words to tell how much I like this band. Buy their music and go see them!"
-Dennis, Music Fog

Round Two from WSNB has been well worth the wait...OUTSTANDING composition from Willie Shane, Big Daddy, The Professor, and last but not least, T-Rex! The rendition of "Phonecall From Leavenworth" is worth purchasing the CD alone, but "Sweet Relief" will set your soul on fire!

Been waiting for another jomo smack to the head...and it was well worth the wait. Awesome disc! Thoughtful lyrics and one hell of a groove! Thanks. Great rock and roll blues is still alive with WSNB!
