Album Notes
-Equal parts Shred, Thump, Beard, Fall Down, Throat and Stampede.

-We are a band intent on playing powerful and perplexing rock music.

-We traverse a tightrope between high concept and rudimentary wank jokes.

-We are a math problem thought out during a keg stand.

Gravity does win again.
You don't realize it, but these Portland lads have put out one of the most interesting and dynamic rock albums of the year. Taking the best things you love from fugazi and Archers of Loaf and actually *adding* to the formula rather than slavishly sticking to it. X's for I's have a distinct post-punk/noiserock edge that is tempered by the best and most timely parts of indie rock... the parts that rock that is. Everytime I see them, they are better, every release sounds more like them than anything else. A band to watch... for serious.
