ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Zap & The Naturals is a Brooklyn-based band influenced by deep bass grooves, island rhythms, reggae, soulful vocal harmonies and urban expressions. Led by singer-songwriter Andrew Zapanta, along with Sarah Wood (backing vocals/percussion), Joel Pixley-Fink (bass), Dan Griffith (lead guitar) and Ry Pilla (drums/backing vocals), the group continues to explore genre-crossing diversity along its musical journey. Their debut EP “Ebb or Flow” received high acclaim in the NYC indie music scene and the band has been featured at many popular NYC area events.

Highlights of 2011-2012 include The 2nd Annual Montauk Music Festival, the 7th Annual Adventures NYC Festival by Backpacker Magazine in The Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park.

In 2011, Andrew recorded a cover of Bob Marley’s “One Love” which was a viral success with over 100,000 views. Sarah has traveled the world with classical music ensembles and Ry has shared the stage with the likes of G-Love, Wyclef Jean and Jack Johnson.
