ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This second cd release from guitarist, Maria Zemantauski, has been described as "simply dazzling" and "world class." Unlike "Mrs. Laughinghouse" - Zemantauski's critically acclaimed debut recording of solo guitar music - "Seeing Red" offers guitar accompanied by udu drum, cajon, kenjira, riq, castañuelas, palmas, baile, cello and bass.
Zemantauski once again combines classic repertoire pieces by such composers as Sabicas and Granados with first rate original compositions. Her dynamic guitar style blends classical and world music traditions with a distinctive flamenco flair.

Great CD
I saw Maria perform in Scotia, NY this summer and had to get her CD. Keep up the beautiful music!

I love this disc!
I listen to this over and over and never get sick of it. This disc is a shining opus; way better than anything else I've heard from her contemporaries - regardless of their big record label budgets and fancy productions. This is what Flamenco is about - emotion, feeling, personality, and fun.

Makes you want to get up and dance! So what are you waiting for?
I was amazed my her first cd, but wow, can you get any better? I mean she is the best there is. I cant wait to start taking dancing lessons, so I can dance to it.

Marvelous guitarist!
This amazing artist definitely deserves wider recognition! Zemantauski's album is interesting, varied and full of real emotions. No speed for speeds sake - but boy can
she play! Must say she achieves one of the varmest and fullest tones I've yet heard from a nylon stringed...
This album really satisfies!

High-quality playing, unique style from start to finish - Superb!
We bought the CD because my husband bought Zemantauski's guitar "Stella" which she plays on the CD.
We listen to this CD all the time now - the playing is very high quality and the style of playing in each piece is so unique.. we never will get bored listening to it!
